Respond to Booking Requests
When students request sessions, you'll receive notifications and see requests in your dashboard.
Finding Your Booking Requests
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click "Booking Requests" in the sidebar
- View all requests with status "Pending"
Understanding a Booking Request
Each request shows:
- Student's name and profile
- Subject requested
- Proposed date and time
- Session duration
- Your rate for that session
- Any message from the student
Your Response Options
You have three ways to respond:
1. Confirm Booking ✅
Accept the request as-is:
- Review the request details
- Click "Confirm Booking"
- The session is automatically created
- A meeting link is generated
- Both you and the student receive confirmation
When to confirm: The proposed time works for you and you're available.
2. Propose New Time ⏰
Suggest alternative times:
- Click "Propose New Time"
- Select a date and time that works better for you
- Add an optional message explaining why (e.g., "I'm available the next day at this time")
- Click "Send Proposal"
- The student reviews and can accept or suggest another time
When to propose: You're interested but the original time doesn't work.
3. Decline ❌
Politely decline the request:
- Click "Decline"
- Optionally provide a brief reason (e.g., "I'm not available during this time", "This subject is outside my expertise")
- Confirm decline
When to decline: You cannot accommodate the request or the subject/time doesn't work for you.
