Add Subjects You Teach and Set Your Rate

Adding subjects and setting rates is essential to start receiving booking requests.

How to Add a Subject

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Look for the "Subjects you teach" section
  3. Click "Add Subject"
  4. Use the search bar to find your subject (e.g., "Math", "CSEC Biology", "CAPE Chemistry")
  5. Select the subject from the dropdown
  6. Set your hourly rate in TTD (Trinidad and Tobago Dollars)
  7. Click "Add" to save

Setting Your Rate

Consider these factors when setting your rate:

  • Your experience level - More experienced iTutors can charge higher rates
  • Subject complexity - Advanced subjects (CAPE) typically command higher rates than foundational subjects
  • Market rates - Browse other iTutors to see competitive pricing
  • Your goals - Set rates that match your teaching goals and availability

Rate Guidelines

  • CSEC subjects: Typically $50-150 TTD per hour
  • CAPE subjects: Typically $100-250 TTD per hour
  • Specialized topics: Can go higher based on demand

Remember: You can adjust your rates at any time by editing the subject.

Managing Your Subjects

  • You can add multiple subjects you're qualified to teach
  • Edit rates at any time from your dashboard
  • Remove subjects you no longer want to teach
